Interactive small group sessions featuring hands-on practice of critical pediatric emergency trauma skills
Practice emergency trauma resuscitation skills using state-of-the-art simulation technology as well as animal and human cadavers:
- Cricothyrotomy (needle, surgical, Melker, and bougie-assisted)
- Thoracostomy (needle and chest tube)
- Pericardiocentesis
- Thoracotomy
Practice advanced trauma life support behaviors and skills using state-of-the-art simulation technology:
- Intensive rapid deliberate practice of high-stakes pediatric trauma simulations
- JumpSTART multi-victim disaster triage algorithm
Practice patient/family interactions during critical pediatric trauma resuscitations, using state-of-the-art simulation technology:
- Intensive rapid deliberate practice of high-stakes pediatric trauma simulations
- JumpSTART multi-victim disaster triage algorithm & associated psychosocial considerations
- Child life-specific debriefing and mass casualty readiness sessions
